Charles (Chuck) MacLean has worked for Advanced Restoration Specialists since January 1982. His past experience within the restoration industry as an Office Manager and Field Technician has assisted him in acquiring the knowledge and skills to be effective in his current role as a Restoration Project Manager. In a continuing effort to attain more understanding of the trade, he was certified as a Certified Restorer in 1995, the highest designation given by ASCR International (Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration) to only a few restorers within the industry.

His major responsibilities include:

· Inspect and estimate various types of property losses to include environmental and bio-hazardous issues

· Prepare Damage Survey Reports for emergency services

· Open communication with the client and insurance carrier on all losses with a commitment to assure that the needs of all parties are met

· Provide project management on each job from start to finish including time frames (schedules), progress payments, etc.

· Coordinate, schedule and oversee crews and trades for each job

· Provide consultation for flooring, construction defects and environmental contamination such as excessive fungal growth (mold remediation)

· Expert Witness services for Damaged Property Consultants

Accomplishments/Certifications:

· Certified Restorer (certified by ASCR International)

· Certified by The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) board in water (WRT) and fire/smoke (SRT) damage restoration as well as health and safety technician (HST), applied structural drying (ASD), Journeyman cleaning technician, upholstery and fabric cleaning, odor control, carpet repair and reinstallation

· C-15 flooring certification

· Xactimate certified

· Sewage / Bio-hazardous certified by Environmental Management Engineering (Industrial Hygienist)

· Council-Certified Mold Remediation Supervisor (AIAQC certified)

· Council-Certified Mold Remediator (IAQA certified)

· Asbestos awareness certification

· Confined Space Entry certification

· Actively involved in organizations such as American Indoor Air Quality Council (AIQC), Forensics Consultants Association, ASCR International, Water Loss Institute (WLI), and National Institute of Disaster Recovery (NIDR)
